Pentiction Hunt

Gordon was smilin’ after winning this in one
of the raffles at the Penticton Hunt-49 Merc
Dimes, 2 Franklin Halves and a Silver Eagle!
The Penticton Hunt was a big success. Three
of us: Clay, Gordon, and Duncan made the trip up
last weekend. We had a great time. The hunt was on the beach on a beautiful day. The setting was great, and the scenery on the beach wasn’t bad either! Lots of friends from Canada and the Seattle area were there and lots of new friends waiting to be made.
They did this hunt quite a bit different than
we do ours. There was only one field, which they
planted by chucking the coins down into the sand.
After one hunt was over, they did the same thing for the next hunt. For a $40 entry fee and a $10 prize donation, you got 3 hunts which were loaded with coins and tokens.
Their hunt was also different in that 100% of
your entry fee went back into the hunt. They use
this hunt as a fundraiser for the Children’s
Hospital in Penticton. Because of that, able to solicit and get lots of donations for prizes. If
you didn’t find multiple tokens in the hunts, you
must have been staring at the scenery the whole
time!
All in all, the 3 Amigos had a great time.
