Camp Easton
It was beautiful day at Camp Easton on April 10th. Twenty-nine members made their way out to the boy scout camp to see what they could find. And they found just about everything except the kitchen sink. Dick could have used the kitchen sink to wash up the 4 or 5 griddles he found buried close to some cabins.
Several old coins were found, but not much boy scout stuff this year for some reason. Paul found the oldest datable coin-a 1929 wheatie. There was also a dateless Standing Liberty Quarter, a Mercury Dime, and 3 other silver coins found.
Here are the silver winners. Paul won a round for finding a first class pin, a half for the Mercury, a half for a year pin, and a half for the oldest coin. It was a good day for Paul! Larry, Doug, Mel, John, and Clay each won a half for a neckerchief slide. Dale won a half for a Scout knife. Joan and Clay each also found year pins and won halves. Silver coin finders who won halves were Henrietta, Clayton, Larry, and Steve Burris. Packrat won a half for finding the most coins-112. Joan?s 149 pieces of trash won a half and so did John?s 6 tent stakes. The last 13 halves were given out by drawing names.
